EVANGELIST TRAVEL SUPPORT
Our evangelists, most of whom are working to support themselves, often lack the extra money needed to travel to different villages and towns. We have heard touching stories of the personal sacrifices they have made to save travel funds. In addition, many villages are not accessible by public transport and evangelists have had to get there by foot, walking several kilometres. Both of these things greatly hinder their ability to share the Gospel. Our desire is to purchase, maintain and fuel motorbikes that will remain the property of the ministry. When an evangelist visits the field he would have use of a bike, which would then be returned after his visit. We currently have groups of people in 73 new villages and towns who are waiting for us to send a church-planting evangelist to visit them regularly! A basic motorbike can be purchased for $900/£730.
CHURCH-PLANTING EVANGELIST SUPPORT
Our desire is to enable as many evangelists as possible in these unreached areas who have wholly consecrated their lives to the sharing of the Gospel and the establishment of Christ's church, to be free to sow their lives fully into this calling, without being hindered by a lack of finances. Our desire is to support them with their basic living expenses so that they can give the time needed to meet the opportunities the Lord opens to them in the field. We look to support these evangelists with at least $45/£37 a month.
NEW TESTAMENT DISTRIBUTION
We have the privilege of purchasing New Testaments for just $0.07/£0.06 each through bible organisations who generously subsidise their cost. We therefore give a free copy to everyone who expresses an interest in the Gospel. Whenever an evangelist meets a new contact and tells them about Christ, they give this person a New Testament. We may never see this person again, and if we don't, we know that we have left the Word of God in their hands, giving opportunity for the Holy Spirit to continue to lead them into truth as they read the scriptures after we have left. We have distributed several thousand New Testaments so far.
FULL BIBLE DISTRIBUTION
We highly esteem the Word of God and believe it is fully authoritative and trustworthy for all matters of Christian life. Therefore, once a person has finished reading their copy of the New Testament, and can show a basic understanding of what they have read, we then give them a full bible free of charge. We distribute a basic bible that introduces each book with a simple description. We purchase full bibles at a price of $2.60/£2.10 each. In the remote villages and towns where we work the majority of the population would struggle to access or afford a bible without our help.
GOSPEL & DISCIPLESHIP MATERIAL DISTRIBUTION
While the Lord graciously enables us to reach an increasing number of people, we are far more concerned about the quality of the disciples we make than the number of converts we see. To this end, we value sound, scripturally-based Gospel and discipleship materials that help inquirers and new believers to build a foundation of knowledge in the faith. We desire to fund the free distribution of such materials among the house churches and those who are just beginning to learn more about Christ.
CHILDREN'S BIBLE & STORYBOOK DISTRIBUTION
Our children's ministry workers have been faithfully using their God-given imaginations and resourcefulness to communicate bible truths to the children's groups, but we would love to reach them with specific materials designed to captivate their young minds. There are high-quality children's bibles, storybooks and ministry materials in the Hindi language. We simply need the funds to purchase them. It has been proven time and again in missions work, and we have also seen, that reaching children with the Gospel in many cases leads to their parents being captured by the Gospel also, reaping a wonderful "double harvest".
AUDIO BIBLE DISTRIBUTION
A large proportion of the house church members are illiterate or semi-literate and the only chance they get to hear the scriptures is when a church or family member reads it to them. In a number of cases we see the illiterate and semi-literate believers falling behind in their understanding because they cannot access the scriptures for themselves. Robust, solar powered audio bibles such as the one pictured would be an unspeakable blessing to these believers.
